Alarm Servicing & Maintenance
Auckland
Alarm beeping and won't clear? A sensor dropping out? A system you inherited and nobody knows the code? We service, test and repair alarm systems across Auckland — and you deal directly with whoever does the work.
An alarm you haven't tested is a guess, not a system
Alarm systems are mostly silent for years at a time. That's the problem — nothing tells you a sensor stopped reporting, a backup battery has aged out, or the monitoring path quietly dropped. You find out the night it matters.
A service visit turns that guess back into a working system: every sensor walk-tested, batteries checked under load, the communication path to your monitoring station confirmed end to end, and the whole thing handed back to you with the faults written down in plain English.
Tested properly, not just glanced at
Every Sensor Walk-Tested
Each PIR, reed switch and detector triggered individually and confirmed at the panel — not assumed from a green light.
Batteries Under Load
Panel backup battery and every wireless device battery checked. Weak cells get flagged before they strand you mid-power-cut.
Communication Path
If your system reports to a monitoring station, we confirm the signal actually arrives — the part most people never check.
Siren & Strobe
Internal and external sirens sounded and timed, strobes confirmed, tamper switches tested on every housing.
Panel & Firmware
Event log reviewed for recurring faults, zones checked against how the property is actually used, firmware updated where supported.
Written Handover
You get told what was tested, what was fixed, what needs watching, and what it would cost to put right — before anything else happens.
Sound familiar?
It beeps and won't stop
Usually a low backup battery or an unrestored tamper. Easy to diagnose on site, and it won't clear itself.
A zone keeps false-triggering
Often sensor placement, a spider, a heat source, or a sensor at the end of its life. Worth fixing before you start ignoring the alarm.
We bought the house with it
No code, no manual, no idea who installed it. We can assess what's there and tell you whether it's worth keeping.
Nobody's tested it in years
The most common one. If it hasn't been walk-tested since installation, you don't know that it works — you only know it hasn't complained.
Monitoring stopped reporting
A changed phone line, a new router, or a lapsed connection can silently cut the path to the monitoring station.
We're adding to the building
New rooms, a new sleepout or a reconfigured layout usually means the existing zones no longer cover the property properly.
The brands we install and service
We install and service Ajax, Paradox and Arrowhead systems across Auckland, so on those brands we know the panels, the quirks and the firmware without having to learn on your time. Need a new system rather than a repair? See alarm installation in Auckland.
Got something else? Plenty of Auckland homes have older or inherited systems from other installers. Tell us what's on the wall — a photo of the panel is usually enough — and we'll tell you honestly whether we can service it, or whether you'd be better off replacing it.
Four steps, no surprises
Tell Us What It's Doing
Call or send a message describing the fault. A photo of the panel and any error on the keypad saves time and helps us arrive prepared.
On-Site Diagnosis
We test the system properly and find the actual cause — rather than replacing parts and hoping.
Fixed Quote First
You get told what's wrong and what it costs to fix before any repair work starts. If it isn't worth repairing, we'll say so.
Repair, Test, Hand Back
Work completed, whole system re-tested, and you're walked through what changed and how to use it.

Book a Service VisitCommon questions
Once a year suits most homes. Backup batteries typically last three to five years, and wireless sensor batteries vary by device, so an annual visit catches them before they fail. Commercial sites, or any site with monitoring or compliance obligations, are usually serviced more often — we'll advise based on what you've got.
A repeating beep or trouble tone is the panel telling you something needs attention — most often a low backup battery, a sensor that has lost contact, or a tamper switch that hasn't been restored after someone opened a housing. It won't clear on its own, and silencing it only hides the fault. Read the message on the keypad if there is one, and send it to us.
Often, yes. We install and service Ajax, Paradox and Arrowhead, and we're happy to look at other systems too. Send a photo of the panel and any label on it before we book — that tells us whether we can service it, whether parts are still available, and whether repairing it is actually the sensible option. We'd rather tell you that up front than after a callout.
Very common, and usually fixable. Depending on the panel, an installer can often reset it and set up new user codes for you. We'll also walk the property with you to check the existing sensors actually cover how you use the house — previous owners often had a different layout or different priorities.
It depends on the size of the system, how many devices need testing, and whether anything needs repairing or replacing. We diagnose first and give you a fixed price before any repair work begins, so you're never approving an open-ended job. Call or send through the details and we'll give you a quote.
The only way to know is to send a test signal and confirm it arrives — and that's part of a service visit. Monitoring paths break quietly: a replaced router, a disconnected phone line or a changed plan can all stop signals reaching the station while the panel at home still looks perfectly normal. We use Alarm Watch for 24/7 monitoring and can check or set up your connection.
