Arrowhead Elite

What Elite actually is

Arrowhead Alarm Products has been designing and manufacturing alarm panels in Silverdale, Auckland since 1986. The Elite range is their core system family — from the original Elite S and Elite 64 panels through to the current EC-KIT and EC-PLAS hardwired kits, plus the board-only ESL-2 and the larger EC-i for bigger sites. All of it is NZ-designed and NZ-made, backed by a 5-year warranty.

Elite is a hardwired system at its core, with keypad options including the EC-LCD and the 5″ EC-TOUCH touchscreen. A hybrid path exists too — the RX-16 receiver module adds wireless PIRs, key fobs and reed switches onto the same panel, so a mostly-wired install can still cover a detached shed or an awkward corner wirelessly rather than running cable to it.

Control is through the EliteCloud app (Arrowhead's current app; the older EliteControl is being phased out) — arm and disarm remotely, get push notifications, bypass a zone from your phone before you head out. For a business, the EC-i panel scales a long way further: up to 248 inputs, 32 access-controlled doors, 32 areas, 2,000 users and 10,000 logged events on one system.

Homes & businesses

Both, done well

The Elite range covers a straightforward home retrofit and a multi-door commercial site — on the same underlying panel family, scaled to fit.

Residential

EC-KIT & EC-PLAS

  • Hardwired EC-KIT or EC-PLAS kit sized to the house, with the RX-16 module added where a wireless sensor makes more sense than a cable run
  • EC-LCD or 5″ EC-TOUCH touchscreen keypad
  • Arm, disarm and get notified from your phone with the EliteCloud app
  • NZ-made, 5-year warranty

Commercial

EC-i panel

  • Up to 248 inputs and 32 areas on one panel — retail, warehouse or multi-tenant sites
  • 32 access-controlled doors and 2,000 users, so staff get their own code rather than sharing one
  • 10,000 logged events — a real record of who armed, disarmed or opened a door and when
  • Scoped and quoted individually against how the site is actually used
Why Arrowhead

NZ-designed, NZ-made

We install Ajax, Paradox and Arrowhead, and we'll tell you plainly which suits your property rather than pushing whichever we have on the van. Arrowhead's case is straightforward: it's designed and manufactured in Silverdale, Auckland, not imported and rebadged, and that shows up in warranty support and parts availability. If you want the wireless-first option, see Ajax; if you want another proven hardwired brand, see Paradox. Or just ask — a five-minute conversation is usually enough to know which one fits.

Questions we get asked

Elite questions

Elite is the alarm panel range from Arrowhead Alarm Products, an NZ company that has designed and made alarm systems in Silverdale, Auckland since 1986. It spans a hardwired home kit (EC-KIT/EC-PLAS) up to the larger commercial EC-i panel.

Hardwired at its core. A wireless option exists through the RX-16 receiver module, which adds wireless PIRs, fobs and reed switches onto the same panel — useful for a shed or an awkward spot rather than running cable everywhere.

Yes, through Arrowhead's EliteCloud app — arm, disarm, get push notifications and bypass a zone remotely. The older EliteControl app is being phased out in favour of it.

Yes — the EC-i panel is built for it: up to 248 inputs, 32 access-controlled doors, 32 areas and 2,000 users on one system, with 10,000 events logged. It scales well past what a single-panel home kit is designed for.

Five years, stated by Arrowhead on their own products. It's also New Zealand-designed and manufactured, which matters if a part ever needs replacing under warranty.

All three are good systems and we install all three — the right one depends on the property more than the brand. Elite's NZ manufacture and hardwired-first design suits a straightforward retrofit or a business wanting a proven wired backbone; see our Ajax and Paradox pages if you want the wireless-first or hybrid comparison, or just ask us and we'll say plainly which fits your job.
