Access Control
Access Control
Auckland
Stop cutting keys every time someone joins or leaves. Ajax access control lets you decide who gets into your building, and when, from your phone — issue access in seconds, revoke it instantly, see who came through the door.
A key you can't take back is a key you don't control
Every physical key is a permanent, anonymous, copyable permission. When a staff member leaves, you either trust that the key came back, or you re-key the building. You have no record of who opened the back door at 4am, and no way to let a contractor in on Tuesday only.
Access control replaces that with something you can actually manage: permissions you issue and revoke yourself, tied to a person, limited by time if you want, and logged every time they're used.
Run your doors from your phone
Issue Access In Seconds
New staff member starting Monday? Grant access from the app before they arrive. No locksmith, no spare key hunt.
Revoke It Instantly
Someone leaves, or a key fob goes missing? Cancel that credential immediately. The building is secure again in seconds, not days.
Set Access By User Or Time
Cleaners after hours, contractors on a set day, managers any time. Permissions can be shaped around how the business actually runs.
Full Audit Trail
See who entered and when. Useful for accountability, for insurance questions, and for working out what actually happened after an incident.
Remote Lock & Unlock
Let a delivery or a contractor in without driving across town. Lock up from home if someone forgot on their way out.
Works With Your Alarm
Because it's Ajax, access control lives in the same app and the same system as your alarm and cameras. One login, not three.
Fobs, PINs or the app
We install smart readers or smart locks at your entry points. Your team gets in with a key fob, a PIN code, or their phone — whichever suits the site and the people using it. Most businesses end up using a mix: fobs for staff who prefer something physical, the app for managers, PINs for occasional access.
And if the internet drops, the doors still work. Door operation doesn't depend on your connection — you lose remote management until it's back, not the ability to get into your own building.
Built for Auckland businesses
Retail & Hospitality
Staff turnover is constant and after-hours access matters. Issue and revoke without re-keying every time the roster changes.
Offices
Front door, server room and storage can all carry different permissions, so not everyone has access to everything by default.
Multi-Site Operations
Run several sites from one app. A customer with two Auckland stores manages both without a trip to either.
Warehouses & Trade
Contractors, drivers and casual staff come and go. Time-limited access means the yard isn't open to last year's subcontractor.
Body Corporate & Shared
Shared entrances where keys circulate forever are exactly the case audit trails and instant revocation were built for.
Home, Too
Access control isn't only commercial. Smart locks suit holiday homes, sleepouts and anyone tired of hiding a key under a pot.
Four steps, no guesswork

Yes. Ajax access control can replace traditional key locks or sit alongside them. We install smart readers or smart locks at your entry points, and your team uses key fobs, PIN codes or the app instead of keys. Plenty of sites start with the main entrance and add doors later once they've seen how it works.
The doors keep working. Door operation doesn't depend on your internet connection — staff can still badge in normally. What you temporarily lose is remote management from the app, which comes back as soon as the connection does.
It works best as part of an Ajax system, because the alarm, cameras and access control then share one app and one set of users. If you already have an Ajax alarm, adding access control is straightforward. If you don't, talk to us about what makes sense for your building — we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth doing as a standalone piece.
Yes — that's one of the main reasons businesses move off keys. Access can be set by user and by time, so a cleaner can have access on the evenings they work and no access otherwise. Every entry is logged, so you can confirm when they came and went.
Yes. Multiple sites can be managed from the same app, which is what makes this worthwhile for businesses running two or more Auckland locations. You can arm, disarm and manage access at any site from wherever you are.
It depends almost entirely on how many doors you want covered and what's already at each one. We quote itemised per door and per reader after a free site visit, so you can see the cost of each entry point and stage the work if you'd rather do the main door first. Get in touch and we'll come and look.
