A typical 4-camera TP-Link VIGI home system installed starts from around $2,500 supply and install. Larger 8-camera 4K systems range $3,500–$5,500. Every property is different — cable runs, camera positions and NVR storage all affect final cost. We provide free on-site quotes with clear upfront pricing.
Most Auckland homes are well covered with 4–6 cameras: front door, driveway, back door, garage area, and side access points. Larger sections or homes with multiple outbuildings may need 6–8 cameras. We recommend what's needed — not what's most expensive.
Yes. Every system we install includes free smartphone app setup. For TP-Link VIGI cameras you use the VIGI app, for Ajax systems you use the Ajax app. We configure it on your phone before we leave the job, including live view, playback and motion alerts.
They're aimed at different use cases. TP-Link VIGI is best value for pure CCTV — excellent image quality, 4K resolution, PoE, colour night vision, at a much lower price than Hikvision or Dahua equivalents. Ajax is the premium choice if you want CCTV integrated with alarm sensors, door contacts and a single smart-home app. Most homeowners go VIGI; smart-home enthusiasts and premium installs go Ajax.
We mainly install PoE (Power over Ethernet) cameras because they're more reliable, get better image quality, and don't have battery issues. Ajax cameras support wireless. For short-term rentals or where cabling isn't possible we can install wireless alternatives — discussed case by case.
Most 4–6 camera home installations are completed in a single day. Larger systems or commercial sites may take 1–2 days. We confirm timing and access needs during the site assessment, and turn up when we say we will.
Yes. We service and upgrade existing Hikvision, Dahua, TP-Link and Uniview systems — fault finding, camera replacements, NVR upgrades, remote access setup. If your system was installed by someone else and no longer works properly, we can usually get it running again.
